Sometimes, if you play it right, you can arrange a personal meeting. Hit him up with a throw-away email account, or call with Skype with caller ID turned off.
See if he will pick you up at an airport. If he will, send him an itinerary arriving at the busiest part of the day. When you don't show, tell him you missed your flight.
Send another itinerary.
Repeat.
