In a "David vs. Goliath" or "Millionaire vs. Billionaire" battle in the two boat open class of the Transatlantic race http://transatlanticrace.com the 66 foot Gunboat catamaran has finished while the 289 foot custom built state-of-the-art gigantic palatial automated monohull is still out there, probably for a while.

Congratulations to Phaedo.

In this pic of the start, that tiny boat out front is Phaedo.

At least he can loose in comfort. Hope he did not have a large side bet on this, but you know what they say about fools and money! πŸ˜‰

That boat is the Maltese Falcon. It is a fascinating build. There was a piece done on it, I think "60 minutes" you can Google and watch. You should also Google the Maltese Falcon and read about the engineering and design that went into it. No standing rigging at all. No traditional sheeting soft rigging to control sails. Everything is computer controlled. A lot of it is one off never been done before stuff. My brother has had the pleasure to be on it when he was in Spain. I'll see If I can find a picture of his lucky ass on the boat.
