'Round Horn Island
What: Le Mans start race around Horn Island ~50 miles
Where: Race starts off the beach the the OSYC
The finish is off the pier at Mark Ederer's house in Davis Bayou
Return your boat to the OSYC
Return to Mark's house for the party
Why: Horn Island perpetual trophy
Who: Anyone willing to go the distance
Safety boats will be on the south side of Horn Island
The cost is based on the cost of the party and gas money for the chase boats
More boats, less cost
There is no registration, show up early at the OSYC by Saturday morning. The race will start when the wind is right.
Let me know if you want to be a chase boat or want to help on the chasers

Hum... as compared to Slip to Ship, this seems like a more advanced, make sure your boat, your rigging, your skipper and your crew are 100% up to a n amazing non-stop sail?
I can already tell unless I'm in the front of the fleet the gravitational pull of the beach will be hard to resist, on the BRIGHT side of the Island. π
