Anyone ever use this beach/surf ramp in San Diego/LaJollla?
It is open to all craft and free, it seems parking might be tough, but there is public parking just North of the Beach Ramp. It is mostly used by Kayaks and some PWCS but Cats are ok too.

I love launching in surf as I grew up doing it in Oxnard Ca, so this sounds cool.
I will try it as soon as I get the boat finished and any bugs ironed out.

Didn't know you could launch a Hobie Cat there! Never launched in surf, but would love to try... let me know if you need somebody to crew.
You may be the odd duck out with this launch... Was there in June with some workmates after being at a conference all day... The place is Kayak city.. that is why we went there.
If you do go, give my regards to the "Pump House Gang." They're still there!!!!! π
I know for sure you can legally launch there but the kayak guys are not too stoked on a cat going in there! You also need 4 wheel drive for sure otherwise you will get stuck. A buddy and I are going to do run from there down to mission bay so if you are interested in cruising with pm me
